[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\nAssisting First Nations Participation in the Environmental Assessment\n for Sisson Project\n\n\nFREDERICTON, June 20, 2013 /CNW/ - Northcliff Resources Ltd.\n (\"Northcliff\" or the \"Company\") (TSX: NCF) is pleased to announce it\n has signed an Environmental Assessment Review and Capacity Funding\n Agreement (the \"Agreement\") with the St. Mary's First Nation, Woodstock\n First Nation and the Assembly of First Nations Chiefs in New Brunswick\n for the Sisson Tungsten-Molybdenum Project located in central New\n Brunswick. The Agreement provides a framework for Northcliff to provide\n funding and in-kind support to all New Brunswick First Nations to\n assist in their participation in and facilitate their technical review\n of the Sisson Project during the Environmental Assessment Process.  The\n funding is intended to assist First Nations where they feel they need\n additional resources to review technical materials and assist community\n members in understanding technical aspects of the project.   In\n addition to Northcliff's capacity support, First Nations of New\n Brunswick have also received Participation Funding under the Canadian\n Environmental Assessment Agency's Participant Funding Program.\n\n\nChief Lenny Tomah Jr. of Woodstock First Nation said, \"Woodstock First\n Nation has taken a proactive approach with respect to the Sisson\n Tungsten-Molybdenum Project, as well all natural resource development\n which may impact First Nation culture. Our First Nation is committed to\n the protection, and exercise, of our constitutionally protected\n Aboriginal and treaty rights. We have worked diligently to foster and\n promote a robust consultation process within the Province of New\n Brunswick. Creating an environment with the capacity to meaningfully\n participate in consultation is an important step and the funding\n provided by Northcliff is a step towards achieving this.\"\n\n\nNew Brunswick Energy and Mines Minister Craig Leonard said he is pleased\n that the capacity funding agreement has been reached. \"We have\n demonstrated on a number of projects the importance of participation\n and partnership with First Nations and this is an excellent\n accomplishment as Northcliff Resources continues its due diligence on a\n project that could have tremendous benefits for New Brunswick,\" Leonard\n said....
