(TSX-V:NVT), (\"Nortec\"\nor the \"Company\"), is pleased to announce that Minera Nortec Ecuador SA\n(\"Nortec Ecuador\") signed Access Agreements for diamond drilling, sampling and\nwater usage for the period of one year with the surface land owner of Loma la\nCruz target area, Ganarin epithermal gold-silver project, Southern Ecuador.\nNortec Ecuador is a wholly owned Ecuadorian subsidiary of Nortec with offices\nin Cuenca, Southern Ecuador. The other targets for which access agreements\nwere signed are Chamana and Rio Minas. Details can be referred to in the\nCompany's press releases of August 16th and 18th, 2006. Drilling contract for\n2,000 metres was also signed with Minera Micubesa SA, an Ecuadorian drilling\ncompany with operations in Ecuador and Peru. The Longyear 38 diamond drill is\nbeing mobilized and the drilling is expected to commence in mid September\n2006. Access roads and drill platforms are being planned for drilling on the\nRio Minas and Chamana target areas.\nThe Company holds an option to earn a 51% interest in the Ganarin\nepithermal gold-silver project and 70% interest in the Condorcocha Project,\nSouthern Ecuador, from joint-venture partner Doubloon Exploration Corp. The\nGanarin property is situated in the prolific Ganarin Mineral Belt. Iamgold\nCorporation's Quimsacocha gold deposit occurs in the same belt approximately\n30 kilometres northeast of the Ganarin Property. Indicated resources within a\none-kilometre long defined area of the Quimsacocha deposit are estimated to\ncontain 2.8 million ounces of gold and 18.2 million ounces of silver.\nMohan R. Vulimiri, M.Sc. P.Geo., President and Director of Nortec, is the\nperson responsible for initiating and guiding the work programs on the\nProperty. Brian T. Malahoff, P.Geo, is the person responsible for the on-site\nmanagement of the exploration programs on the Property.
