VANCOUVER, July 28 /CNW/ - Norsemont Mining Inc. ("Norsemont") reports it
has awarded the drilling contract at the Constancia Copper-Gold-Molybdenum
Project in Peru to Geotech Peru SA.
The Drilling equipment to be used is a Longyear drill rig, LY-44 model,
truck mounted and a 'Wireline' system with capacity to reach depths up to 350
metres. The main diameter is to be HQ with a triple tube system. The contract
includes requirements for 95% core recovery.
The phase 1 diamond drilling program will consist of approximately 15
holes totaling 5,000 metres. At present, Norsemont's Constancia crew have
prepared the initial drill pads and main access roads and access roads to hole
locations.
Dr. Thomas Henricksen, P. Geo., a qualified person as defined by National
Instrument 43-101 and consultant to the company, has reviewed and verified the
