[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nShares Issued and Outstanding: 34.7M\n\n\nTSX: NOM\n\n\nVANCOUVER and LIMA, PERU, Aug. 28 /CNW/ - Norsemont Mining Inc.\n("Norsemont" or "the Company") (TSX: NOM, BVL: NOM) is pleased to report that\nthe Company's common shares have been listed and have today commenced trading\non the Bolsa de Valores de Lima (Lima Stock Exchange) ("BVL"). Norsemont's\nlisting on the BVL is being sponsored by Credibolsa, Peru's largest brokerage\nfirm and the trading arm of Banco de Credito, Peru's largest bank.\n\n\nThe BVL was one of the best performing stock exchanges in 2006, with\naverage returns of 166 percent. Mining shares, which make up 61 percent of the\nexchange listings, led with average returns of 266 percent, followed by\nagriculture (239 percent) and basic industry and services (177 percent). The\nBVL is considered to be a leading indicator of the performance of Peru's\neconomy.\n\n\nDuring the press conference held in Lima today, Norsemont's President Bob\nBaxter explained that the Company's Constancia copper-moly-silver project is\nboth large and robust. A scoping study is currently being prepared by SRK and\nwill be completed shortly.
