("the\nCompany") (TSX: NOM, BVL: NOM) today announced the filing on SEDAR\n(www.sedar.com) of a Technical Report required under National Instrument\n43-101 in respect of the Preliminary Assessment (Scoping Study) for the\nCompany's Constancia copper-molybdenum-silver porphyry project in southern\nPeru. The Technical Report was prepared by SRK Consulting. Norsemont\npreviously announced the results of the Constancia Scoping Study in a news\nrelease dated November 5, 2007. The Technical Report is also available on the\nCompany's website, www.norsemont.com.\n\n\nAbout Norsemont Mining\n\n\nNorsemont Mining is a Canadian mineral exploration and development\ncompany focused on the Constancia Cu-Mo-Ag deposit in southern Peru. Norsemont\ncurrently controls an undivided 64% interest in the Constancia Project, which\ninterest is set to increase to 81% in the event that Rio Tinto does not\nexercise a claw-back right prior to January 31, 2008. Norsemont can then\nacquire the remaining 19% interest in Constancia by March 31, 2008 through a\npayment of US$8M to Rio Tinto. The Constancia Project has a 43-101 compliant\nindicated resource of 70M tonnes (0.8 Billion lbs Cu) and an inferred resource\nof 250M tonnes (2.8 Billion lbs Cu).\n\n\n","length":1454,"tagName":"div"}]
