Norsemont (TSX-V: NOM) Awards Geotec S.A. Drilling Contract for
Constancia Copper-Gold-Moly Project
VANCOUVER, July 28 /CNW/ - Norsemont Mining Inc. ("Norsemont") is pleased
to report Geotec S.A. has been awarded the phase 1 drilling contract for the
Constancia Copper-Gold-Molybdenum Project in Peru. Norsemont has selected
Geotec due to their existing experience on the Constancia project and their
expertise drilling copper porphyry systems.
The drilling equipment previously deployed to Constancia is a Longyear
drill rig, LY-44 model, truck mounted. The main drill core diameter will be
HQ, reduced to NQ if necessary, using the triple tube recovery system. This
should ensure maximum results for recovery throughout the drilling program.
The phase 1 diamond drilling program has commenced and will initially
consist of approximately 15 holes totaling 5,000 metres. At present,
Norsemont's Constancia crew have upgraded existing drill roads and built new
drill pads.
