(Nasdaq: NMIH) today reported net income of $60.5 million, or $0.69 per diluted share, for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2021, which compares to $60.2 million, or $0.69 per diluted share, in the third quarter ended September 30, 2021 and $48.3 million, or $0.56 per diluted share, in the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2020. Adjusted net income for the quarter was $63.5 million or $0.73 per diluted share, which compares to $61.8 million or $0.71 per diluted share in the third quarter ended September 30, 2021 and $50.8 million or $0.59 per diluted share in the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2020. Net income for the full year ended December 31, 2021 was $231.1 million or $2.65 per diluted share, which compares to $171.6 million, or $2.13 per diluted share, for the year ended December 31, 2020. Adjusted net income for the year was $236.8 million or $2.73 per diluted share, which compares to $173.6 million, or $2.19 per diluted share, for the year ended December 31, 2020.
