[{"type":"text","content":"Niocan Provides Update on its Niobium Property in Oka and Related Mining Lease\n \n \n (TheNewswire)\n \n \n \n Montreal, Quebec -\n \n \n TheNewswire -\n \n \n November 13, 2020\n \n \n --\nNiocan Inc.\n \n \n (\"Niocan\" or the\n\"Company\") (TSXV:NIO) announces it has received confirmation\nfrom the\n \n \n Ministere de l'Energie et des\nRessources naturelles (\"MERN\") of the approval of the\nconversion of its mining lease\n \n \n concerning its\nniobium property located in the Oka region in Quebec,\nCanada\n \n \n into claims.\n \n \n \n \n The mining lease has been in existence since 2000 and\nthe Company has for many years been awaiting the receipt of a\nCertificate of Authorization from the Ministry of Sustainable\nDevelopment, Environment and Fight against Climate Change\n(\"MDDELCC\")\n \n \n which would allow it to\nexploit its Oka mine project. The Company considers that it has\nproduced all information required by the MDDELCC for the issuance of a\nCertificate of Authorization; however, in spite of the Company's\nrepeated attempts to obtain an indication from the MDDELCC as to its\nintentions relative to the Certificate of Authorization, the Company\nhas not yet received conclusive information to this effect. The\nmining lease for the property expired on July 20, 2020, at which time\nNiocan requested that the MERN issue mining claims over the lands\ncovered by the lease.
