[{"type":"text","content":"Nexus Gold Announces Upcoming Drill Program at the McKenzie Gold Project, Red Lake, Ontario\n \n \n (TheNewswire)\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Vancouver, Canada -\n \n \n TheNewswire -\n \n \n October 19, 2021 - Nexus Gold\nCorp.\n \n \n (“\n \n \n Nexus\n \n \n ” or the “\n \n \n Company\n \n \n ”)\n(TSXV:NXS\n \n \n ) (\n \n \n OTC:NXXGF\n \n \n ) (\n \n \n FSE:N6E) is\n \n \n pleased\n \n \n to report\n \n \n that it is preparing to\ncontinue Phase 2 diamond drilling in an effort to expand known\nmineralization at its 100%-owned McKenzie Gold Project, located in Red\nLake, Ontario.\n \n \n \n \n The Company is finalizing details on a 2000-meter\ndiamond drill program,\n \n \n scheduled to commence in\nearly November,\n \n \n designed to test the northerly\ntrending gold mineralization already established in the St. Paul’s\nBay region of the claim block (see Company News Releases May 25, 2021,\nand June 1, 2021).\n \n \n \n \n The upcoming program will\n \n \n test\nareas under and north of Perch Lake, in an effort to increase the\nstrike length of the mineralized zone.  Recent prospecting by the\nCompany has identified the presence of historic trenches on the north\nside of Perch Lake (see Image 1) comprised of\n \n \n quartz veins containing clots and patches of semi massive\nChalopyrite, Pyrite and Molybdenite.  The veins are hosted in granite\nwhich displays strong pervasive silica flooding.  Local discrete\nshearing in both trenches trend at approximate attitudes of 330° and\ndip 70° to 80° to the east, displaying similar trends established\nin earlier drilling campaigns south of the lake in the St. Paul’s\nBay region of the McKenzie claim block.\n \n \n \n \n The company is currently reviewing  drill site\nlocations, access requirements and other logistics\n \n \n \n \n for the upcoming program.\n \n \n \n \n “The discovery of the historic trenches north of\nPerch Lake gives us the ability to potentially extend the known strike\nlength of mineralization in the southern section of McKenzie,” said\npresident and CEO, Alex Klenman.  “The recent ground work confirmed\nfavorable lithology in the area, opening up a new target zone for us\nto drill test.  The goal is to expand known ...
