The A1 Team will assist student athletes to prepare for the level of their choice and will assist athletes returning to sports following a major injury. A1 Performance Specialists have the knowledge and passion to coach athletes towards their goal whether that be recreational, varsity or professional. A1 will also provide affordable pricing, through a sponsorship program for low-income families to help grow talented athletic children in a high-performance setting.In an amazing show of faith for the project, the City of Edmonton has approved an increase in the 2022 operating expenditure budget in Community and Recreation Facility Services, Citizen services of $5m to fund the A1 Athletic Facility service package.STATE OF THE ARTA1 is giving athletes a high-performance facility equipped with pro-grade artificial turf and a high-performance gym. The two multi-purpose FIFA and CFL regulated field domes in addition to their outdoor field will cater to many sports including Soccer, Football, Lacrosse, Rugby, and Basketball.The main floor of the clubhouse will include a full restaurant, Bar & Cafeteria in addition to an ultra-modern 2500 square foot gym designed for weight training and cardio conditioning. With a physiotherapy and/or rehabilitation service on site, athletes will have everything they need at A1 facility to take their game to the next level.A1 has access to video technology that no other sports facility in Edmonton is using. This technology allows athletes to record and showcase their skills for universities and colleges they are interested in attending.
