[{"type":"text","content":"\nCompany Marks International Women’s Month by Recognizing the “Nexstar Woman of the Year” in March 2020;\nWinner to be Announced Exclusively on “The Mel Robbins Show”\n\n IRVING, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--\nNexstar Media Group, Inc., (Nasdaq: NXST) today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Nexstar Broadcasting, Inc., will celebrate next year’s International Women’s Month by honoring “Remarkable Women” across the country and recognizing one of them as the “Nexstar Woman of the Year” in March 2020.\n\n\nMarch is International Women’s Month, an opportunity to acknowledge the great contributions that women have made to our nation and local communities. “Remarkable Women” is a nationwide Nexstar initiative to honor the influence that women have had on public policy, social progress and the quality of life. Nexstar will celebrate local women that inspire, lead and forge the way for other women.\n\n\nOn December 13th, Nexstar television stations in all of the company’s 115 local markets will begin accepting nominations for “Nexstar Woman of the Year.” Based on nominations with universally selected criteria including community contributions, self-achievement, and family impact, each Nexstar market will select four local women for consideration as that market’s “Remarkable Woman.” Profiles of the top four nominees in each market will air on local newscasts every Tuesday, from February 11, 2020, to March 3, 2020, and the nominees will be featured on the websites of each local television station. On March 6, 2020, one woman will be announced in each market as its “Remarkable Woman” and that woman will be considered for “Nexstar Woman of the Year.”\n\n\nEach local market’s “Remarkable Woman” will be provided with travel and hotel accommodations in New York City to attend a special reception where television talk show host Mel Robbins will be the featured speaker.
