Luxell's Aktelux wins place on Maritime Helicopter Project (MHP) from General Dynamics Canada

TORONTO, Oct. 4 /CNW/ - Aktelux Corp. (a subsidiary of Luxell
Technologies, TSX:LUX) announced today that it had been chosen by General
Dynamics Canada of Ottawa, Ontario to design and develop a variant of its
latest generation 3ATI display for use as a Threat Warning Indicator (TWI) .
The devices will be used for the Canadian Department of National Defence
Maritime Helicopter Project, which will require some 60 of these units.
This award was made by General Dynamics Canada who has the
responsibility, under an agreement with MHP prime contractor Sikorsky Aircraft
Corp., to integrate the multi-sensor mission systems into Sikorsky H-92
helicopters, designated the CH148 Cyclone by the Canadian Forces. The systems
will support maritime missions that include surface and subsurface
surveillance, personnel recovery (search and rescue), and drug interdiction.
The displays selected offer forward growth capabilities, incorporating a broad
range of software controllable features, which will enable their ready
adaptation as the diversity of missions expands for the Cyclone platform.
