(TSX:LUX) is pleased to\nreport it has received an order increase for a Multi-Function Display ("MFD")\nunit first ordered by Rheinmetall Defence Electronics ("RDE"), of Bremen,\nGermany, in 2005 and to be used in RDE's Loadmaster Control System\n("Loadmaster") on the Airbus A400M.\n\n\nDesigned to meet a recognised requirement by European air forces for a\nnew airlifter the A400M is the next generation military cargo plane and\nrepresents one of the most ambitious military procurement programmes\nundertaken in Europe. Launched under a single contract in 2003 with 180 orders\nfor seven European launch customers, the A400M will offer greater flying range\nand payload capability. It incorporates state-of-the-art materials and\nfeatures such as electronic flight controls, carbon composite structures and\nan automated handling system intended to bring new standards of operability\nand safety to military aircrews.\n\n\nAs the prime contractor and integrator of the Loadmaster Control System\non the AIRBUS A400M, RDE has now increased and confirmed a new order for the\nLuxell MFD. The Loadmaster MFD was developed under contract from RDE to meet\nthe highest standards of ruggedization required for payload management\nfunctions.\n\n\nThe new contract increases the value of the total order for LUXELL by\nmore than 300,000 Euros and provides for the supply of additional display\nshipsets in flight worthy condition to support the final phase of\nqualification of the aircraft.\n\n\nJean-Louis Larmor, Luxell's CEO, said that "we are very gratified by this\nrenewed sign of confidence from such a major European player. Our company has\nworked hard with RDE in a very demanding environment for this new modern\naircraft and we are continuously making every effort to ensure we become one\nof their preferred suppliers."\n\n\nThe companies are presently finalizing the details of the delivery rate\nand production plan components of the contract, as well as the product support\nfor the aircraft (the order book now stands at 192 aircraft) over the next few\nyears.
