(TSX:LUX) announced\ntoday that it has reached an important payment milestone by successfully\ncompleting the design review stage of a program aimed at retrofitting one of\nits rugged displays for military use.\n\n\n"Completing the design phase is a significant step in our mandate to\ndevelop prototypes of very specialized rugged displays that we believe that\ncan be successfully retrofitted within existing military equipment," said\nJean-Louis Larmor. "The experience gained in this project will be extremely\nbeneficial as other retrofit opportunities continue to emerge."\n\n\nAs announced previously, Luxell signed an agreement valued at\napproximately $400,000 (US) to develop customized liquid crystal display (LCD)\nprototypes that provide improved flight situation awareness data to military\npilots.\n\n\nThe next phase of the program will involve delivery of the first units to\nthe US-based customer as well as integration on the customer's test bench.\n\n\nAbout Luxell\n------------\n\n\nLuxell designs, manufactures and licenses flat panel display technologies\nand product solutions for the aerospace and defense sectors.
