Luxell awarded contract for land-based displays

Worth an estimated $2.3 million in follow-on business

TORONTO, April 12 /CNW/ - Luxell Technologies Inc. (TSX:LUX) announced
today that the Company has signed a contract with a major U.S. contractor for
the supply of 100 land-based military displays. The Aktelux "field-ready"  
10.4 inch active matrix LCD displays are supported by high-efficiency,
dependable LED backlighting. Luxell's high performance displays are suitable
for mission-critical information systems, land and expeditionary combat
systems, and communications and armaments systems.
Luxell delivered the demonstration unit in January, and, following a
successful customer evaluation, will proceed with the delivery of 3 first
article units followed by an additional 97 production units. The potential
follow-on business could exceed 600 units, worth an estimated value of CAD $
2.3M (USD $1.9M). The prime contractor wishes to keep other details of the
contract and end application confidential at this time.
