Hartley LCol (Ret'd) as Luxell's new\nVice President Business Development.\n\n\nGerard M. Hartley retired from the Canadian Forces in 1996 after a\nstellar career with the Canadian Forces. During his career he held positions\nwith NORAD's Semi-Automated Ground Environment (SAGE) Programming Agency, as\nChief of Space Data and Analysis Branch with US Space Command, as the Canadian\nForces Assistant Deputy Commander for Operations at the 1st Space Wing,\nPeterson AFB, Colorado and then as the Canadian Forces Commanding Officer and\nDeputy Director NORAD Systems Support Facility (NSSF) at Tyndall AFB, Florida.\nHis final responsibility in the Canadian Forces was as Wing Commander and Base\nCommander, CFB Gander, Newfoundland, a 500 person base.\n\n\nFollowing his retirement, he spent a number of years in the private\nsector, holding positions as Managing Director, CAE Shaheen (Pvt) Ltd, a joint\nventure aircraft repair and overhaul company in Islamabad, Pakistan and then\nas a consultant to Spar Aerospace Limited, which had purchased all of CAE's\naviation interests in 1998 and where he was involved in a number of strategic\nexpansion activities designed to make Spar a global service provider in the\naircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul industry.\n\n\nIn 2001 Mr. Hartley joined Northrop Grumman Canada as a Senior Marketing\nManager and remained there until Feb 2005. During that period he played an\ninstrumental role in assisting the company capture several multi million\ndollar defense contracts. Since 2005, he has been providing consulting\nservices to a number of companies working within the defense products\nindustry, including Luxell.\n\n\nAs Vice President Business Development, Mr. Hartley will focus on\nsupporting the implementation of the Company's three year business plan,\ncustomer partnerships and identifying new opportunities within the North\nAmerican marketplace.\n\n\nAbout Luxell\n\n\n------------\n\n\nLuxell designs, manufactures and licenses flat panel display technologies\nand product solutions for the aerospace and defense sectors.
