A distinguished member of the Canadian Bar for over two decades and a 2012 Queen's Counsel appointee, Mr. Pirooz has been instrumental in the formation, development and operation of over 11 different companies, the largest of which has a market capitalization of approximately $2 billion and employs over 5,000 people, as well as playing a key role in the sale of five of his companies, which generated proceeds of over $1.2 billion. Currently, Mr. Pirooz serves as General Counsel and a director for Pan American Silver Corp., and sits on the board of directors of both Lumina Copper Corporation, as Chairman, and Augusta Resource Corporation, both of which recently announced they were being acquired for $470 million and $550 million, respectively.
