(\"Network\" or the \"Company\") is pleased to announce that it has acquired the rights to\n \n Andrew McCarthy's\n \n best-selling memoir,\n \n \n Brat: An 80's Story.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Network will adapt the book, which was released earlier this year, into a documentary that Andrew will star in, direct, and produce alongside\n \n Brian Liebman\n \n from Liebman Entertainment, with Network Entertainment's\n \n Derik Murray\n \n ,\n \n Paul Gertz\n \n , and\n \n Brian Gersh\n \n executive producing.\n \n \n Most people know\n \n Andrew McCarthy\n \n from his movie roles in\n \n Pretty in Pink, St. Elmo's Fire, Weekend at Bernie's,\n \n and\n \n Less Than Zero,\n \n and as a member of\n \n Hollywood's\n \n Brat Pack. Andrew has long pondered what it has meant to him to be an integral member of this iconic group of movie stars, and\n \n \n writing the book answered many of the questions that he's wrestled with throughout his life, but it also brought up more. Was being identified as a Brat Packer the worst thing that ever happened to him?
