NETCALL LAUNCHES TWO NEW SERVICES
Netcall plc's principal operating subsidiary NetCall Telecom
('NetCall') announces the launch of two new services that
represent considerable enhancements of its existing market
leading range of on-line Telephony services.
WAP enabled audio conferencing
NetCall Telecom will be demonstrating its latest developments
in WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) enabled services at the
CeBit Expo in Hanover, Germany, which will be held between 24
February and 1 March 2000. This will be in partnership with
Symbian, the wireless technology consortium led by Motorola,
Nokia, Ericsson, Psion and Panasonic. Netcall Conference, a
powerful web based conferencing service, has now been
integrated to work on any Wireless Information Device using
Symbian's EPOC platform.
Two-way screen collaboration via the Web
As an enhanced extension of the Netcall800 freephone
'callback' button, NetCall announces the launch of HotDesk T.
HotDesk T presents a series of powerful 'page-push' and online
collaboration features, introducing real-time screen
interaction between telephone / Call Centre agents and web
browsers, without any enhancement to existing software or
hardware components at either end. Successful implementation
of the service has already been completed for several of
NetCall's key customers, including Regus, Bupa, Intel Corp
(UK) and Jobs4u.
David Rothschild, Chief Executive of Netcall plc, commented:
'Both services represent significant advances to existing on-
line solutions demonstrating the power of NetCall's technology
and reinforcing its ability to lead the market. I believe
both will win rapid acceptance from our existing and potential
customer base'.
