[{"type":"text","content":"\n RNS Number : 7413V Morgan Sindall PLC 16 July 2009 \n \n\nMorgan Sindall plc\n\n16 July 2009\n\nMorgan Sindall TO DELIVER £24 million HOUSING REFURBISHMENT SCHEME \n\nMorgan Sindall plc, the construction and regeneration group, today announces that its Affordable Housing division, Lovell, has been awarded a £24 million contract by Three Oaks Homes, which is a member of the East Midlands Housing Group, for the refurbishment of over 2,200 homes in the Blaby district of south-west Leicestershire. The four year scheme will bring the housing up to a level that exceeds the Government's Decent Homes Standard.\nWork will include the installation of new kitchens, bathrooms and heating systems, electrical upgrading and external environmental and security work.\n\nLovell has continued to secure new-build and housing improvements contracts throughout 2009 with recent examples including a large-scale housing improvement programme for Northamptonshire-based Wellingborough Homes and a scheme to build 61 affordable homes in Leeds for housing association Accent Foundation.\n\nPaul Smith, Chief Executive of Morgan Sindall plc, said:\n'Demand for new build and refurbishment social housing projects remains robust.
