[{"type":"text","content":"\n Morgan Sindall PLC\n06 March 2008\n\n\nMorgan Sindall plc\n\n06 March 2008\n\n\n Morgan Sindall awarded £445 million contract to\n complete Scotland's largest road construction project in joint venture\n\n\nMorgan Sindall's infrastructure services business Morgan Est, as part of an\nInterlink joint venture, has been awarded the £445 million M74 completion\nproject - Scotland's largest ever road construction scheme.\n\nThe three-year project, which is worth more than £111 million to Morgan Est,\nwill see the construction of an 8km six-lane motorway to the south of Glasgow.\nIt is being funded by Transport Scotland, Glasgow City Council, South\nLanarkshire and Renfrewshire Councils and on completion will provide significant\nbenefits to transport links through Glasgow and on the M8 to the west of the\nKingston Bridge.\n\nInterlink M74 joint venture partners Balfour Beatty Civil Engineering, Morgan\nEst, Morrison Construction and Sir Robert McAlpine worked with Glasgow City\nCouncil and Transport Scotland in an open and collaborative environment\nproviding a comprehensive cost-effective bid to undertake this complex civil\nengineering project.
