[{"type":"text","content":"\n \nRNS Number : 7536J Morgan Sindall Group PLC 05 July 2011 \n \n\n \n5 July 2011\n \nMorgan Sindall secures position on £1.2 billion Gatwick framework\n \nMorgan Sindall Group plc, the construction and regeneration group, today announces that Morgan Sindall, its construction and infrastructure division, has been appointed on the £1.2bn framework programme of upgrades and improvements for Gatwick Airport.\n \nMorgan Sindall will compete with nine other contractors for the individual schemes during the four-year framework. The programme includes a broad range of major projects at the airport designed to improve the passenger experience through upgraded terminal facilities, new aircraft piers and modernised baggage systems as well as new retail, security and immigration areas.\n \nMorgan Sindall secured a position on the major projects framework which Gatwick's owner, Global Infrastructure Partners, inherited when it acquired the airport in 2009, and is presently on-site delivering the £50 million Gatwick North Terminal extension. \n \nPaul Smith, Chief Executive of Morgan Sindall Group plc, said:\n \n\"We are delighted to extend our relationship with Gatwick and secure a position on its latest framework.
