[{"type":"text","content":"\n RNS Number : 9943X Morgan Sindall PLC 26 August 2009 \n \n\nMorgan Sindall plc\n\n26 August 2009\n\nLovell awarded £20 million redevelopment programme by Atlantic Housing\n\nMorgan Sindall plc, the construction and regeneration group, announces today that Lovell, its affordable housing business, has been selected by social housing provider Atlantic Housing to undertake a major redevelopment programme on the Velmore Estate near Eastleigh, Hampshire.\n\nThe scheme with Atlantic Housing, part of the First Wessex Housing Group, is the first that Lovell will undertake as a member of First Wessex Housing Group's contractor framework. It is valued at approximately £20 million and will involve the demolition of 100 bungalows built in the 1960s and the construction of 189 energy-efficient new homes.\n\nWork is scheduled to start in September 2009 and will take 30 months to complete.\n\nPaul Smith, Chief Executive of Morgan Sindall plc, comments:\n\n'We are very pleased to secure our first contract with the First Wessex Housing Group.
