The stage II Tailings Storage Facility expansion is designed\n to accommodate 10 years discharge from the 1 million tonnes per annum\n gold treatment plant.\n\n\nThe TSF Expansion contract totaling $1.3 million (RM3.9 million) was\n awarded in April 2011 to Perlombongan L.S. Choong Sdn. Bhd., the local\n Malaysian construction company that constructed the stage I tailings\n storage facility. The Stage II TSF construction involves raising the\n existing dam height 12 metres and is targeting completion in December\n 2011 to give an estimated total tailings storage capacity of 4.6\n million tonnes. This capacity will support 10 years of tailings\n discharge from the expanded processing capacity following the phase III\n gold processing plant expansion targeting completion in May 2012.
