Monument Mining Limited\n (TSX-V: MMY and FSE: D7Q1) "Monument" or the "Company" today announces\n that the Company, through its wholly owned subsidiary Monument Mengapur\n Sdn. Bhd. (formerly "Orifer Asia Sdn. Bhd.") in Malaysia, has entered\n into a binding Memorandum of Understanding (the "MOU") with Malaco\n Mining Sdn. Bhd ("Malaco") and Malaco's wholly owned subsidiary Cermat\n Aman Sdn. Bhd.("CASB"), both incorporated in Malaysia, to acquire the\n Mengapur Polymetalic Project (the "Mengapur Project" or the "Project")\n located in Pahang State, Malaysia.  The acquisition remains subject to\n due diligence, updating of historical resource and reserve estimates,\n signing of a Definitive Sale and Purchase Agreement, financing, board\n and regulatory approvals and other conditions.  Upon completion of the\n acquisition, Monument would hold a 70% pre-financing interest in the\n Project.\n\n\nThe Mengapur Project is located in Central Malaysia in the State of\n Pahang and was first discovered by a drilling program carried out by\n the Geological Survey of Malaysia.
