Oremex launches diamond drilling program.

About this update from Monarca Minerals Inc.
[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\n\nVANCOUVER, June 15 /CNW/ - Oremex Resources Inc. (TSXV symbol - ORM) (the\n\"Company\"). Oremex Resources announces the commencement of a diamond drilling\nprogram at its Tejamen silver property in Durango, Mexico. The purpose of the\ndiamond drilling is to provide larger size samples for metallurgical testing\nand rock mechanics as inputs to the determination of the economics related to\nan open-pit heap-leach mine. The diamond drilling is also designed to provide\nadditional confirmation of the mineralization delineated by the extensive\nreverse circulation drilling program that established a 50,000,000 ounce\nsilver resource (in the inferred category, based on the NI 43-101 report).\nFurthermore, some of the diamond drilling will involve deeper holes to\ndetermine the extent of the mineralization, since many of the reverse\ncirculation (\"RC\") holes ended in relatively high grade silver zones.\nMetallurgical testing to date has been conducted on cuttings from the RC\ndrill holes, with favorable results (up to 78% metallurgical recoveries).\nHowever, RC drill cuttings are generally less than one quarter of an inch in\nsize, and the diamond drilling will provide larger-sized pieces of rock for\nfurther testing.\nIn addition to the metallurgical work, the diamond drill core will\nprovide fresh rock for rock mechanics testing to assist in the estimate of pit\nslopes for mine design purposes. As a result, strip ratios (waste to ore\nratios) will be determined at a variety of cut-off grades, this enabling the\nestimation of required mining equipment and related costs.\nThe diamond drilling program will be conducted at both the Cerro Prieto\nand Los Mantos areas, with the first phase involving about ten drill holes,\nwith a total length of about 2,500 meters. Core from the drill holes will be\ncomposited to represent the anticipated general grade of the deposit as it is\nexpected to be mined. Oremex plans to conduct two column leach tests on the\ncomposite samples.\n\nAbout Oremex Resources Inc.\n\nOremex Resources Inc. (www.oremex.com) is a Vancouver based resource\ncompany that is actively developing two of its six silver properties in\nMexico. Oremex management are experienced in exploration and mining, with\nexpertise in the development and operation of mines.\n\nThe TSX Venture Exchange has not reviewed or does not a...
