(TSXV-MKA) (the "Corporation" or "Mkango") is pleased to announce that a diamond drilling program has commenced\n at the Songwe Hill rare earth project in Malawi.\n\n\nMkango commenced trading on the TSX Venture Exchange on January 6, 2011,\n having completed an oversubscribed brokered and non brokered private\n placement with gross proceeds of $7,760,750.\n\n\nThe Songwe Hill rare earth project is located within a 100% owned\n exclusive prospecting licence covering an area of 1,283 km2 in\n southeast Malawi (the "Phalombe Licence"). Songwe features carbonatite\n hosted rare earth mineralization and was previously drilled in the late\n 1980s. Further exploration and mineralogical analysis was completed in\n 2010, and the 43-101 compliant "Technical Report on the Songwe Rare\n Earth Element (REE) Project, Republic of Malawi" dated September 30,\n 2010 was filed on SEDAR.\n\n\nExploration activities within the Phalombe Licence since January 2011\n have included:\n\n\n\nUpgrading of roads and bridges on the access road to Songwe Hill and\n construction of drill pads\n\n\n\nEstablishment of drilling camp, water boreholes and fuel storage\n facilities at Songwe Hill\n\n\n\nCompletion of geophysical and topographic surveys at Songwe Hill\n\n\...
