He was\nformerly at Inchcape, where he was the Managing Director of a business unit of a\nsimilar size to the restructured Gleeson Group, having originally trained as an\naccountant with Arthur Young, qualifying as an ACA.\n\nChairman Dermot Gleeson said: 'Paul has overseen much of the successful\nimplementation of the revised corporate strategy announced in March 2006, which\nwas principally designed to reduce the Group's exposure to contracting in the\nconstruction sector and to strengthen its position in the three related areas of\nurban housing regeneration, commercial property development and strategic land\ntrading.
