The Disposal is conditional on the approval of the Company's shareholders. Mitchells & Butlers plc announces that a circular has today been posted to shareholders giving notice that a General Meeting will be held at The Institution of Engineering and Technology, Savoy Place, 2 Savoy Place, London WC2R 0BL on Tuesday 26 October 2010 at 2.30pm to seek shareholder approval for the Disposal. The circular which includes notice of the General Meeting is posted on the Company's website at www.mbplc.com/circular.
