He is also Chairman of HobbyCraft and a non-executive director of the BBC Executive Board.\n \nAs announced previously, plans are being progressed to appoint additional non-executive directors to the Board. \n \nCommenting on his appointment, Simon Burke said \"I would like to pay tribute to John for the significant advances he has overseen at Mitchells & Butlers in the past year. We thank him and wish him well for the future.
