About this update from Mirasol Resources Ltd

[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nVANCOUVER, June 12 /CNW/ - Mirasol Resources Ltd. (TSXV:MRZ Frankfurt:\nM8R) is pleased to announce the acquisition of the Rubi copper-gold property,\nlocated on the prospective Paleocene-age porphyry and epithermal belt of\nNorthern Chile.\n\n\nThe Paleocene metallogenic belt has a proven pedigree for producing large\ncopper porphyry and epithermal gold deposits exemplified by BHP Billiton's\nSpence project (3.5 Mt copper) and Meridian Gold's El Penon mine (3.8 M oz.\ngold; 63 M oz. silver).\n\n\nThe Rubi claims, covering 73 square kilometres, were staked as a result\nof the company's new Tertiary Generative Program, announced March 5, 2007.\nCompleted reconnaissance exploration includes stream and rock geochemical\nsampling, regional mapping and PIMA analysis of the prospect area.\n\n\nThe prospect is defined by an extensive, advanced argillically-altered\noutcrop, interpreted to be a lithocap, which is exposed through a gravel\nplain. Exotic copper minerals are locally seen in the gravels and in prospect\npits surrounding the outcrop area, and narrow gold-base metal veins crop out\nat the northern edge of the gravel cover. Mirasol's geologists believe that\nthis setting is prospective for porphyry copper (and accessory\ngold-molybdenum) style mineralization.\n\n\nDue to its low altitude and favourable access, the Rubi property can be\nworked year round and rapidly advanced to drill stage. Mirasol has identified\ntwo zones within the Rubi project area that merit further exploration.\n\n\nStephen Nano, Vice President of Exploration for the Company, a Qualified\nPerson under NI 43-101, is responsible for the technical content of this\nrelease.\n\n\nSurface Geochemical Sampling: All assay results reported herein are for\nrock and stream sediment samples collected from surface; assay results from\ndrill core samples may be higher, lower or similar to results obtained from\nsurface samples.\n\n\nQuality Assurance/Quality Control: Exploration at the Rubi Project is\nsupervised by Mirasol's Vice President Exploration, Stephen Nano, a qualified\nperson under NI 43-101. All technical information for the Company's projects\nis obtained and reported under a formal quality assurance and quality control\n(QA/QC) program. Rock chip and stream sediment samples are collected under the\nsupervision of Company geologists in accordance w...
