("Virgin Metals" or\nthe "Company") (TSX:VGM) today filed its Annual Information Form, its audited\nconsolidated financial statements and accompanying notes for the year ended\nDecember 31, 2007 and related Management Discussion and Analysis with Canadian\nSecurities Regulatory Authorities. Copies of Virgin Metal's 2007 disclosure\ndocuments may be obtained at www.sedar.com or by e-mailing the Company at \[email protected].\n\n\nThe Annual Information Form includes by reference the independent\nNational Instrument 43-101 Technical Report on the Los Verdes Project dated\nFebruary 29, 2008 prepared by Chlumsky, Armbrust & Meyer, LLC, which has also\nbeen filed today.\n\n\nUpdate on Operations\n\n\n--------------------\n\n\nIt is anticipated that the technical study currently in progress will be\ncompleted in the next two months. The Company's consultants have advised the\nCompany that it expects the study to reach pre-feasibility study standard,\nalthough a substantial amount of work to date has reached feasibility study\nstandard.\n\n\nAt the request of consultants, the Company will carry out further\nmetallurgical testwork to determine response of different ore types in order\nto more precisely determine metallurgical recoveries and product qualities so\nthat detailed mine planning can be prepared. Test work to date has shown\nexcellent recoveries of molybdenum. Work will also be completed on securing\nwater supply, finalizing surface rights agreements and completing condemnation\nand geotechnical drilling programmes to finalize plant, tailings, water\nimpoundment and waste dump locations and designs. Results of the above and\nother work would then be incorporated into a final feasibility study that the\nCompany anticipates receiving from its consultants during the fourth quarter\nof 2008.\n\n\nVirgin Metals is also pleased to announce that it has recently promoted\nRene Mladosich to General Manager, Mexico Operations. Mr. Mladosich has been\nemployed with Virgin Metals since July 2007, and has played a key role in\nadvancing the development of the Los Verdes project.
