[{"type":"text","content":"\n \n MetaStat, Inc. (OTCQB:MTST), a molecular diagnostic company, today \n announced positive preliminary results from a study of MetaSite Breast™ \n in patients with ER-positive, HER2-negative early stage invasive breast \n cancer. The prognostic study met its prospectively defined primary \n endpoint. It demonstrated the MetaSite Breast™ Score is \n significantly and directly associated with increased risk of distant \n metastasis in ER-positive, HER2-negative invasive breast cancer for both \n high (>35 MetaSites) versus low (<12 MetaSites) MetaSite scores (OR = \n 3.4; 95%CI = 2.8-4.1; P=0.0002) as well as between intermediate (12-35 \n MetaSites) and low MetaSite scores (OR=3.24; 95%CI = 2.6-3.9; P=0.0006).\n \n \n “Independent verification of these data at MetaStat’s central laboratory \n using our fully automated MetaSite Breast™ assay is an important \n milestone for the company,” said Douglas A. Hamilton, MetaStat’s \n President and Chief Executive Officer. “We are encouraged by these \n results including the separation of the low and intermediate risk groups \n in addition to the low and high risk groups. We look forward to \n conducting additional clinical validation studies demonstrating the \n prognostic and chemo-predictive power of the MetaSite Breast™ \n test as we prepare for commercialization in 2016.”\n \n \n The MetaSite Breast™ Score predicted risk of distant metastasis \n in ER-positive, HER2-negative early stage invasive breast cancer \n independent of traditional clinical factors. MetaStat plans to submit \n complete data from this study for presentation at a future medical \n meeting.\n \n \n About the Kaiser Permanente Cohort MetaSite Breast™ Prognostic \n Study\n \n \n The Kaiser Cohort MetaSite Breast™ clinical study is a \n prospectively defined case-controlled nested cohort of 3,760 patients \n with invasive ductal carcinoma of the breast diagnosed between 1980 and \n 2000 followed through 2010 from the Kaiser Permanente Northwest health \n care system. Case patients were women diagnosed with invasive breast \n cancer who subsequent developed distant metastasis. Of the 573 breast \n cancer tissue blocks received 481, representing 259 case-controlled \n pairs, were usable and included in the study.\n \n \n About Meta...
