Metalex/WSR commence drilling for base metals in James Bay Lowlands

About this update from Metalex Ventures Ltd.

[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nKELOWNA, BC, May 14 /CNW/ - Metalex Ventures Limited (MTX: TSX-V)\n("Metalex"), WSR Gold Inc. (WSR: TSX-V) ("WSR") and Arctic Star Diamond Corp.\n(ADD: TSX-V) are pleased to report that drilling has commenced on the first\nNoront-style sympathetic conductor and magnetic geophysical anomaly for which\nground geophysical data was available to define drill targets.\n\n\nOf the joint venture claims for which helicopter supported magnetic and\nelectromagnetic geophysical results have been received, 21 potential\nNoront-style sympathetic electromagnetic-magnetic anomalies as well as 19\nadditional electromagnetic conductor anomalies have been identified. Ground\ngrids have been cut and ground electromagnetic and magnetic geophysical\nsurveys have been completed on 16 of 21 of the Noront-style sympathetic\nanomalies. Plotting and final analysis of the ground geophysical results is\ncomplete on 3 of the 16 ground geophysical anomalies and drill hole target\nlocations have now been identified on all three targets for which plotted\nresults are available.\n\n\nThe first target for which ground geophysical results were available is\npresently being drilled. Metalex Geologist, John Churchill, reports that this\n60 degree inclined hole, being drilled towards the ground electromagnetic\nanomaly, is at about 60 metres depth. The final target depth of the hole is\n235 metres. Another 60 degree inclined hole is planned to be drilled from the\nopposite side of this ground electromagnetic anomaly.\n\n\nShould potentially economic sulfides be intersected in either of the\nholes, a second drill rig presently at the Richards Lake camp will be used to\ndelineate the resource. The small exploration core rig will be moved to drill\n15 additional anomaly targets in which ground geophysical surveys have been\ncompleted.\n\n\nGeologists from Metalex and WSR are most encouraged by both the quality\nand quantity of air and ground sympathetic geophysical anomalies obtained to\ndate, and look forward to favourable drill intersections.\n\n\nDr. Charles Fipke is the Qualified Person responsible for the technical\ncontents of this press release.\n\n\nJohn Tait\n\n\nJohn Tait\n\n\nPresident & CEO\n\n\n%SEDAR: 00008159E\n\n\n","length":2314,"tagName":"div"}]
