KELOWNA, BC, May 4 /CNW/ - Metalex Ventures Ltd. (TSXV : MTX) ("Metalex", "The Company"), is pleased to announce that a third core hole is being drilled into the exceptionally large 500 x 600 meter (+/- 24 hectare) kimberlite discovery in Angola as reported in the news release of April 1, 2009. The third vertical hole collared approximately 150 meters north of the second hole intersected kimberlite at 12.2 meters depth and the drill is still in primary kimberlite at 141.8 meters depth.
Metalex is hopeful that eroded parts of this pipe may be a source of the abundant high quality alluvial diamonds being mined downstream from the Company's concession on the Quango River, Angola. Core samples from this pipe will be shipped to the CF Mineral Research Ltd. laboratory in Canada for analysis as soon as possible.
