Melkior Resources Inc. Announces Closing of a $569,000 Private Placement

Ottawa, Ontario CANADA, December 07, 2011 /FSC/ - Melkior Resources Inc.  (MKR - TSX Venture), is pleased to announce that it has completed the closing of its previously announced private placement for aggregate proceeds of $569,000 consisting of the issuance of 5,690,000 units at a price of $0.10 per unit.

Each unit is comprised of one flow-through common share and one-half a common share purchase warrant. Each full warrant entitles its holder to purchase one additional common share at a price of $0.25 for a period of 12 months following the closing. The securities issued under the private placement are subject to a four (4) month hold period ending April 8, 2012.

In conjunction with the private placement, one insider of Melkior has subscribed for aggregate proceeds of $40,000.

Melkior paid cash commissions totalling $10,200 in relation to this private placement

The proceeds from the offering will be used by Melkior to finance exploration expenditures on its properties located in the Province of Ontario. The majority of the funds will be allocated to the following projects: Carscallen (West Timmins), Long Lac, Henderson and Shaw in Ontario.
