[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nHALIFAX, July 29 /CNW/ - MedMira Inc., ("MedMira") (TSX Venture: MIR,\nNASDAQ: MMIRF) a developer and marketer of rapid diagnostics, announced today\nthat it has received new product sales orders from customers in several global\nmarkets, including Bulgaria, Chile, and Colombia.\n\n\n"Our focus on revenue-building initiatives is beginning to yield results\nwith these sales wins in Bulgaria, Chile, and Colombia," said Hermes Chan,\nCEO, MedMira Inc. "We continue to build momentum in international markets,\npursuing sales opportunities, strategic partnerships, and other collaborative\nprojects that directly impact our financial performance and shareholder\nvalue."\n\n\nBulgaria and Chile are new markets for MedMira, with orders and advance\ndeposits received earlier this month from distributors in both countries. In\nBulgaria, the Company's rapid HIV tests will fulfill a successful government\ntender bid and be used in a public health testing program.\n\n\nMedMira is working with its regional sales partner in Colombia to\ncontinue increasing rapid HIV test sales and pursuing new opportunities to\nintroduce other MedMira rapid tests to these markets. MedMira's Colombian\ndistributor was also successful in winning a government contract for rapid HIV\ntests.\n\n\nOrders for Bulgaria, Chile, and Colombia are now in production and 50,000\ntests are slated for delivery to these customers in August.\n\n\nChan continued, "We are confident that these sales wins will lead to\nfuture opportunities in these regions as our products are fully integrated\ninto healthcare programs, the value and quality will be clearly evident."\n\n\nThe Company is also seeing improvement in product sales in the US market\nand expects these to steadily increase as its new distributor, VWR\nInternational LLC, fully launches Reveal G3 Rapid HIV-1 Antibody Test to its\ncustomer base.\n\n\nAbout MedMira\n\n\nMedMira is a leading developer and manufacturer of flow-through rapid\ndiagnostics.
