Medinah Mining Chile Announces Initiation of the Exploration/Drilling Program with Regard to its Altos de Lipangue Property Claims in Chile

About this update from Medinah Minerals, Inc.

[{"type":"text","content":"\n \n On Monday, August 18, 2014, Medinah Minerals, Inc. (Pink Sheets: MDMN) \n reports that its 100% owned Chilean subsidiary, Medinah Mining Chile, \n has received AURYN Mining Chile, SpA initial schedule of exploration and \n drilling activities with regard to the Altos de Lipangue group of claims \n near Santiago, Chile.\n \n \n AURYN Mining Chile, SpA has initiated its exploration and drilling \n program at the highly prospective Gordon Breccia. This will be a great \n opportunity for it to reveal its riches and the search will also be on \n for other similar gold/copper breccia deposits as well as the associated \n porphyry copper/gold deposit.\n \n \n The Altos de Lipangue property is located approximately 30 kilometers \n northwest of Santiago, Chile in an area of favorable infrastructure and \n plentiful water. The property has been optioned by AURYN Mining Chile, \n SpA from Medinah Mining Chile who have held the property since 1998. The \n original property consisted of 2163 hectares and it has recently been \n expanded to 4092 hectares to cover additional known targets and \n favorable stratigraphy.\n \n \n Medinah Mining Chile conducted three drill campaigns between 1998 and \n 2000 at the Gordon Breccia that totaled 18 holes for about 6000 meters \n of drilling. They successfully intersected mineralized breccia in 14 out \n of the 18 holes. The drill spacing was generally 50 meters or more and \n only covered a strike length of about 200 meters and vertically to a \n depth of less than 400 meters. The breccia occurs in granodiorite \n approximately parallel to the contact with andesitic volcanics. The \n geophysics indicates an east-west strike length of 400-450 meters and \n the drilling indicates that the breccia has a thickness of about 70 \n meters and dips to the south at 62 degrees with a steep rake to the \n east. In a couple of the deeper holes there was intensive phyllic \n alteration typical of the halo of porphyry deposits.\n \n \n AURYN Mining Chile, SpA plans an aggressive multidiscipline approach to \n the Altos de Lipangue project that will combine immediate drilling of \n the Gordon Breccia with an intensive search for additional targets using \n geology/prospecting, geochemistry and geophysics. Other known but \n unexplored targets such as the Lo Amarillo gold zone will be followed up \n immediatel...
