Petrolifera Petroleum provides update on drilling progress at La Pinta well in Colombia

[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nCALGARY, Feb. 17 /CNW/ - Petrolifera Petroleum Limited (PDP - TSX)\nannounces today that it is making good progress in the drilling of its La\nPinta well on the Sierra Nevada I license in the Lower Magdalena Valley\nonshore Colombia. The well is located 600 meters north of the Guamito 1X well\nthat was drilled in 1975 and tested oil and gas from two separated intervals.\n\n\nThe well spudded on January 23, 2009 and is currently drilling a 12 1/4\ninch intermediate hole at a depth of 6,720 feet. The next casing point will be\nat 8,700 feet where the 9 5/8ths string will be run. The projected final total\ndepth on the well is approximately 13,000 feet.\n\n\nThe well has not encountered any unusual problems during drilling and mud\nweights remain high with density at about 13.0 ppg due to prevailing high\npressure conditions in the subsurface.\n\n\n","length":908,"tagName":"div"}]
