Iain will succeed Lord Allen Sheppard who, in September\n2006, announced his intention to retire from the Board following the recruitment\nof his successor. This change will be effective from 1 July 2007.\n\n\nIain is currently the non-executive Chairman of Imperial Tobacco Group plc and a\nnon-executive Director of Collins Stewart plc. He was previously Group CEO of\nTaylor Woodrow plc prior to which he was a main board Director of Bass plc. His\nprevious non-executive Directorships include Henderson Administration, Perry\nGroup plc and BOC Group plc.\n\n\n\nColin Smith, senior independent Director, said:\n\n\n'On behalf of the whole Board, I would like to thank Allen for his commitment\nand leadership as Chairman since the group's creation in 1993. Allen has\noverseen substantial changes in McBride over the past few years and leaves us\nvery well placed for further growth and development in the future.\n\n\n'Iain has strong experience of international, consumer goods markets combined\nwith proven leadership skills. This makes him an ideal Chairman to lead the\ncontinuing growth of McBride.
