(TSX: SCL.A, SCL.B) today announced\nthe appointment of Gary Love as Chief Financial Officer of the company,\neffective immediately. Gary will succeed Alan Thomas who is retiring from the\nposition of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of ShawCor. These\nchanges are part of ShawCor's ongoing management succession plan.\nGary joined ShawCor on January 3, 2006 in the position of Vice President,\nSenior Controller and, during his initial period with the company, assumed\ndirect responsibility for all of the division controllers that coordinate the\nfinancial reporting activities in ShawCor's six divisions at over fifty\nlocations worldwide.\nMr. Love holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto and\nis a Chartered Accountant. He came to ShawCor with a strong background in\noperational finance gained through senior management positions with several\nCanadian public companies including Magna International, and most recently at\nStackpole Limited of Oakville, Ontario where he was Vice President and Chief\nFinancial Officer.\nShawCor wishes to express its appreciation to Alan Thomas for his many\ncontributions to the company during his years of service as Chief Financial\nOfficer.\n\nShawCor Ltd. is an energy services company specializing in products and\nservices for the pipeline and pipe services and the petrochemical and\nindustrial segments of the oil and gas industry.
