(TSX: SCL.A, SCL.B) today announced\nthat ShawCor and Garneau Inc. have terminated the Arrangement Agreement\npursuant to which ShawCor Ltd. was to have acquired Garneau Inc. As a result,\nthe proposed acquisition will not proceed.\nThe originally scheduled closing in late May was delayed pending a review\nby the Competition Bureau. The decision not to proceed is based on the\ninability of the parties to resolve outstanding issues and the prospect of\nfurther delays.\n\n\n\n","length":682,"tagName":"div"}]
