(TSX: SCL.A, SCL.B) today announced\nthat its subsidiary, Shaw Pipe Protection Ltd., has received contracts with a\ntotal value in excess of $30 million to provide anti-corrosion coatings and\npipe handling for double jointing along with load in and load out services for\nthe Kinder Morgan Corridor Pipeline Project and Phase I of the Trans Mountain\nTMX Expansion. The pipe will be coated with fusion bond epoxy (FBE) at Shaw\nPipe Protection's Camrose, Alberta facilities and includes a total of 639 km\nof pipe in 30\", 36\" and 42\" diameters.\nShawCor has also announced that it has purchased a 130 acre site in\nCamrose, Alberta. The Camrose property is zoned for industrial use with\nexcellent rail and truck access and is located close to Shaw Pipe Protection's\nexisting large diameter pipe coating facility. The new land will be utilized\nto accommodate a double joint welding facility and to expand pipe storage\ncapacity required for the Corridor and TMX Pipeline Projects and other\nprojects either under contract or anticipated in the future.\nShaw Pipe Protection is working actively to anticipate market\nrequirements for new, high performance pipe coatings and to provide the\nadditional land required to expand pipe coating capacity to meet the future\nneeds of the oil and gas industry in Western Canada.
