("Maple Leaf") is\npleased to announce that it has retained Mr. Deqing Wei as a business\nconsultant for Maple Leaf's operations in China. Mr. Wei is currently the\nDeputy Minister of Economic and Finance Commission and Congressman of Shanxi\nProvince Congress. His previous governmental appointments in Shanxi Province\ninclude: Auditor General of Shanxi Province, Deputy Mayor/Mayor of Yangquan\ncity, Secretary General of Jinzhong City Communist Party Committee and Deputy\nSection Chief of Pingding County. Mr. Wei's connections throughout various\nlevels of the Chinese government may assist Maple Leaf with accessing the\nlarge 'Green Environmental Resource' market in China, which is endorsed and\nspearheaded by the central government of China.\n\n\nAdditionally, the board of directors of Maple Leaf also approved a grant\nof 100,000 stock options for Mr. Wei.\n\n\nMr. Thomas Xiaolu Tang, Vice-President of Maple Leaf and in his role as\nthe legal representative in China reports: "At present, there are many\n'Restoration of Green Environment' projects carried out by various levels of\ngovernment in China, spending billions of RMB each year; this does not include\nthe equivalent amount of money that is provided through private sector\ninvestment.
