[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\n\nCALGARY, Sept. 7 /CNW/ - Shell Canada and Flying J Canada Inc. are\npleased to announce today that they are combining their road transport\nbusinesses in Canada.\nThis new joint venture will include Shell Canada's national cardlock\nnetwork and Flying J's Canadian travel plazas. As well, Shell and Flying J\nplan to invest more than $200 million to build new facilities - including more\nthan 15 new travel plazas which will feature Shell gasolines - and remodel\nexisting ones to create a comprehensive network for Canadian road transport\ncustomers.\n\"Flying J is the undisputed leader in the North American highway\nhospitality and service business,\" said Les Markiewicz, General Manager,\nCommercial Sales and Marketing, Shell Canada. \"Combining Flying J's high\nquality services and facility standards with Shell's nation-wide cardlock\nnetwork and world-class fuels and lubricants, highlights the best of both\ncompanies.\"\nCustomers can expect an enhanced level of service, which includes\nshowers, restrooms, food and seating areas as well as access to a suite of\nancillary services such as banking, truck and trailer leasing and sales,\ninsurance, payroll services, freight matching, and document management.
