[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\n\nPARIS AIR SHOW, LE BOURGET, France , June 16 /CNW/ - Magellan Aerospace\nCorporation announced today its contributions to the newest aircraft programs\nbeing promoted at the 2005 Paris Air Show in Le Bourget, France this week.\nHeadline events include the premier appearance of the A380, flying\ndemonstrations of several high-performance military aircraft and new\ncommercial and business aircraft in various stages of development.\nMagellan provides over $1.5M CDN of goods and services for each A380\naircraft produced, including:\n- the engineering, manufacture and assembly of the false rear spar wing\n assembly;\n- the manufacture of engine exhaust nozzles for the Rolls-Royce Trent\n 900 and the GP7200 Alliance engines;\n- the manufacture of APU gearbox castings, fuel pipes and thrust\n fittings;\n- precision-machining of A380 main landing gear and wing landing gear\n assemblies; and\n- design engineering work packages for the wing box ribs and the inner\n rear spar.\n\nMilitary fighter aircraft including the F22 Raptor and the F/A-18 E/F\nSuper Hornet have received considerable attention as the premier aircraft for\nthe USAF and USN. Magellan manufactures $50M CDN of components and assemblies\nannually for these Lockheed Martin and Boeing programs that include:\n- F22 titanium aircraft fuselage frames;\n- F22 landing gear components;\n- GE F414 engine components powering the F/A-18 E/F;\n- F-18 fuselage frames and components; and\n- F-18 landing gear components.\n\nMagellan is also a provider of Repair and Overhaul services for the GE\nF404 powerplant which powers earlier versions of the F18.\nThe new Dassault Falcon 7X business jet is making its first appearance at\nthe 2005 Paris show. Magellan provides multiple components and assemblies for\nthe Pratt & Whitney Canada PW307 engines that power this impressive new\naircraft. Valued at $8M CDN per annum in full production, program activities\ninclude:\n- provision of engine gearbox and front frame castings;\n- by-pass duct manufacture; and\n- engine detail component manufacture.\n\nMagellan Aerospace produces components and assemblies for these four new\naircraft in its facilities in Canada, the United States, and the United\nKingdom adding value through manufacturing technology, engineering, supply\nbase management, financial investment, and risk sharing.\n\nMagel...
