(TSX: MT), the\nmanufacturer of high-performance equipment for the television broadcast\nindustry, announced today the launch of multiple new products at IBC 2006, the\nkey European broadcast technology exhibition in Amsterdam. The company's key\nnew product is the Kaleido-X processor, which combines multi-room, multi-image\ndisplay plus routing in a single chassis.\n\"Kaleido-X's unique mix of capabilities represents the most integrated\nmulti-image display and routing solution on the market\", says Strath Goodship,\nChief Executive Officer at Miranda.\n\"By combining monitoring with routing, customers will benefit from\nimproved signal flexibility and space efficiency, as well as reduced costs and\ncabling. We're in the process of patenting the processor's high performance\narchitecture.\"\nAs a multi-image processor, Kaleido-X offers the highest level of signal\nflexibility. Each chassis can display 96 multi-format video inputs any number\nof times, in any size, across eight displays of any resolution and\norientation. As a router, it offers switching of 96 inputs to 48 HD/SD outputs\nfor feeding high quality monitors, test equipment, and master control or\nproduction switchers.\nMiranda will also be highlighting its new television graphics products\nfrom the VertigoXmedia acquisition, which was completed in May 2006. The range\nincludes the Vertigo XG graphics processor which is ideal for simultaneous HD\nand SD broadcast applications; the Xmedia Suite graphics workflow tools; and\nthe Xstation playout server with integral graphics and playlist control, which\ncan deliver lower cost, faster-to-air television.\n\"We've been busy integrating the VertigoXmedia team and products since\nthe acquisition. We'll be showing the Xmedia Suite applications working with\nthe VertigoXmedia processors, in newsroom and master control environments,\nalongside our established Imagestore master control processors.
