The Union is now legally on strike commencing\n \n October 8, 2020\n \n .\n \n \n At this time, the Company does not expect a material impact on Candelaria's operations, including production or shipment of concentrate, as a result of labour action by the Candelaria Mine Workers Union.\n \n \n The previous collective agreement with the Union expired on\n \n September 30, 2020\n \n . Candelaria and the Union subsequently entered into a mediation process in which multiple improved offers were presented to the Union leadership. The parties voluntarily agreed to extend the mediation period by one day so the Union leadership could present the last offer to their members and vote. Union leadership did not respect the agreement and informed Candelaria today that the Union would not meet the agreed timeline or vote on the offer. Candelaria is committed to responsible, respectful, and fair negotiations with the best interests of our workers and the sustainability of our business in mind.\n \n \n As part of the collective bargaining cycle, Candelaria is also in the legislated negotiation process with the Candelaria AOS Union, which represents approximately 550 members. An agreement was reached with the LMC AOS Union during advanced negotiations in\n \n May 2020\n \n .
