[{"type":"text","content":"\n \n \n RNS Number : 9659M\n Luceco PLC\n 15 May 2020\n \n \n \n \n 15 May 2020\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Luceco plc\n \n \n (\"the Group\")\n \n \n \n \n \n Appointment of Senior Independent Director\n \n \n \n \n \n The Board of Luceco plc, the manufacturer and distributor of high quality and innovative wiring accessories, LED lighting and portable power products, is pleased to announce the appointment of Pim Vervaat as Senior Independent Director with effect from 1 September 2020. \n \n \n \n \n \n Pim brings extensive Board-level international manufacturing experience to the Group. He most recently spent 12 years at RPC Group Plc, initially as Chief Financial Officer between 2007 and 2013 and then as Chief Executive Officer between 2013 and 2019. Prior to joining RPC, Pim fulfilled a number of senior finance positions in metals manufacturer Hoogovens and its eventual acquirer, Corus Group. Pim has also been a Non-Executive Director of Avon Rubber plc since March 2015.\n \n \n \n \n \n Pim will replace John Barton who, as previously announced, is not standing for re-election at the AGM on 4 June 2020.\n Caroline Brown, currently \n N\n on\n -E\n xecutive \n D\n irector and \n C\n hair of the \n A\n udit \n C\n ommittee, will serve as Interim \n S\n enior \n I\n ndependent \n D\n irector\n from the AGM until Pim joins the Board.\n \n \n \n \n \n Commenting on the appointment, Giles Brand, Non-Executive Chairman, said:\n \n \n \n \n \n \"The Board is delighted to welcome Pim as Senior Independent Director. He brings a wealth of relevant experience from a career spent in large, international and blue-chip manufacturing environments that will be of particular value to the Group in the coming years.\"\n \n \n \n \n \n This announcement is made pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.11R.
