[{"type":"text","content":"\n \nRNS Number : 3126J LPA Group PLC 29 June 2011 \n \n\nLPA GROUP PLC\n(\"LPA\" or the \"Group\")\n \n \nRail contract win \nLPA Group PLC (\"LPA\" or \"the Group\"), the lighting, power and electronics system manufacturer and distributor, announces a significant new contract win by its new business offering, LPA Transport+. \n \nLPA Transport+ is a new business initiative by the Group, combining its electro-mechanical, lighting and electronics expertise with onsite installation to provide clients with a total solution for equipment maintenance, refurbishment or upgrade. \n \nUnder a £0.3m contract, LPA will manufacture and install an upgrade module to the cab desk of a fleet of Electric Multiple Unit trains operating in the South East of England. The contract will commence during this financial year and complete early next financial year. \n \nThe module will utilise a number of LPA in house skills including design, sheet metal fabrication, painting, screen printing, component procurement, harness build, wiring, assembly and installation on the train. \n \nPeter Pollock, Chief Executive, comments:\n \n\"This project is very exciting as it combines a number of LPA capabilities in a single source solution for a new client.
